#LFW Day 2 x #BPSFW

This season, I went to experience the #lfw atmosphere on day 2 and day 4. It all went by so quick- I can't believe it's done already! On day 2 (Saturday) I thankfully had half an hour to spare before I had to dash over to London Bridge to catch the British Plus Size Fashion Weekend (bpsfw) show. It all happened so fast haha. I walked into Somerset House and basically, got papped from the get go! (I wasn't surprised, I had been pre-warned by blog veterans). It was great as I got to meet people, albeit briefly, and even got interviewed for Spice TV. So look out for that!
If I say so myself, I loved my outfit! My aim was to brighten up the day and I believe I did haha!
These men were 'peacockiing', or so I was told! They were looking fierce!
LOVED this dude's style...failed to get his name :/

With the lovely J.D. Watch out for him on a catwalk near you!
Outtake from the interview I did with Spice TV-we found out we go way back (high school back-small world haha)
See? We were able to take a decent one!
Now on to #bpsfw. It was the second annual event and I have to say that I am glad that it is around. Seriously, it is needed. Us curvy girls need to be represented and celebrated- and what better way to do it than to have our own fashion weekend! It's of course thanks to Remi Ray of trappedinaskinnyworld and Rianne Ward of evolvemagazine. They (and their team) put on a superb job of showcasing 16 current and up and coming plus size brands. These included ASOS Curve (which we all know and love); Remi Ray's designs-From London with Love; Syreeta Badu; as well as Evans, which was their sponsors. Now Evans- you have come HARD! With its new and exclusive 'CUT' label, I'm headed there ASAP! People check it out- Whitney from America's Next Top Model gave it LIFE on that catwalk!
Enjoy the pictures- I sure did enjoy the night! xx
(Sorry I did not get any pictures of the after party, we were partying too hard to get the cameras out! But...check out my instagram for more pictures and videos from the night!).

With Hayley Hasselhoff-she worked that runway!
With Whitney- winner of America's Next Top Model.
With Remi Ray-one of the founders of BPSFW.

What I wore:
Crop top; Skirt and Heels- ASOS.
Jacket- River Island.
Bag- Ted Baker.

Until next time,

Mini haul-my latest buys!

This is my first time doing a post of this sort, but I got so excited when I hit the 'confirm payment' button that I wanted to share my awesome finds with you all. This summer I haven't done THAT much shopping- which I'm pretty proud of haha! But the other day, I decided to treat myself to the AWESOME ASOS sale! I don't know about you, but I LOVE me some ASOS! Their variety is off the chain! And their sales are something else.

Here's my latest purchases from the site. Have you got them? Tell me what you think. :D

So, on the front, it's just a plain white tee...

But the back is sooo awesome with '1991' stated vertically on it!!

That's the year I made my presence on this earth, and as soon as I saw this tee I knew it was going in my shopping basket! Seriously! I have been on the lookout for a top/dress- something along these lines, and I  have seen a few before this one, but they just weren't right. Thank God this one came into my path haha.
I got it for £6 from £14 and a couple of sizes bigger to rock it as a dress sorta top. I see myself rocking it with heels and jeans. We'll see... :D
I love the color blocking and reckon they will just about go with EVERYTHING! ...

...And the satin gives it a little extra class for a heeled sandal!

I had been looking at these for a while and seeing them now on sale for £14 from £45 (!!!) I knew they had to be mine. They remind me of my black strap heels from Office, but a colorful version obviously. I love the chunky thickness of the heel too- always a plus.

I love me some monochrome, and this dress is perfect!

I love the high neck line, the midi length and the drop back. It screams sophistication and elegance to me.

I love how the ASOS designers have taken black and white and made it into such a fun, patterned , vibrant monochrome dress, full of drama! It's like it was made for me! It's a bodycon fit too, so my curves will definitely be on display! I got it in the sale for £11.50 from £35- another amazing deal!

All of my purchases are from the ASOS brand! And these pictures are off the ASOS website. ASOS is so cool and I always look forward to seeing what they have in store... don't you?! :D

Until next time.

Primrose Hill

As a continuation from my last post, part of the day was spent in Primrose Hill. Have you been there? It's pretty cool. Go to the top and you will get an epic view of London and all its beauty! We decided to have a picnic and take a break from trailing Camden.
Outfit wise, I opted for something very light and breezy. We are having such lovely weather, I have to abuse it while it lasts!! The beanie was a semi-mistake to take out, as it was so hot, majority of the time I was just carrying it! Nonetheless, it brought a pop of colour to the outfit- and you know me! I love my colour!

Pairing the faux-leather gilet with the dress gave the outfit some edge, making it not so innocent and sweet!! Today was the first time I wore this lovely dress from ASOS, after having it for sooooo long. It's such a summer stunner, with its standout crochet detail!! Thinking beach bar! The shoes are from Office. They are really good and great if you love getting height from you footwear at any opportunity like me! They replicate the jelly sandals, which have made a major comeback! Do you remember owning a pair? I do!!

A date with the books...

I'm still here!! Haha. I know, I know it's been a while. It's just that time of the year and exams take over everything! I actually just had my first exam yesterday! Family law- so happy to have one out the way- 3 more to go!!

These pictures were taken while having a break from revision in my new home- the library. I went for comfort of course. And black. Simple. Oh, with a bit of white too, to break it up I guess. Oh and I wear glasses. I say I rock the geek chic look. Don't know what I'll do without them, very dependent on them! I got this sexy number when I was in the States from a site recommended by a friend that do awesome deals- I'm talking first pair free kind of deals! Unnoticeable perhaps are the variations of textures I'm wearing. Usually, I would prefer to do that with color and prints, but hey, I just had a date with my books that day so I just threw on what was in my eyesight and prayed it worked!
Anyways, hope revision is still going strong peeps. I know so many people who are actually done for the year already! Lucky buggers! Good luck!
Until next time!

Car booty!!

I cleared out the place haha.

Gangnam style! Haha.

Dungarees- Primark
 Crop Top- Vintage

Jellys- River Island
 Bag- ASOS
Last Sunday after church, I met up with Issie, from Issie's-Vision, and went to a car boot sale in Kingston at Tiffin Boy's School. Though we only caught the end of it, I think that was a blessing in disguise- I didn’t want to spend too much! And I didn’t! Woo hoo! In under an hour I copped some really good deals (that I’m sure you’ll see here soon). In total I spent £7.50 and left with 7 things. Car boot sales are a must if you want the incredible deals.  I have to say it, I felt a little nostalgic, had not been to one (or done one) since I was a kid-the atmosphere was great!
It was a sunny day in Kingston, so I opted for my loose dungarees. I have not worn this bad boy in ages. It so nice to discover clothes that you’ve had for a while and wear them feeling all brand new. The crop top- I LOVE-got It at a vintage fair around 2 years back. Sun was out so wanted to show some skin haha. The jellys are from RI, another piece I’ve had for a good while. Guess my outfit was all about wearing the old, as if they were new! Haha. Fits in well with the car boot sale.
