Take back the night!

I do not want this to become a habit- but, again, sorry for the serious lack of updates. I guess you can say I have been chilling a lot this summer. Plus, it's really hard to blog (and very annoying) when you have no one to take the pictures for you. No holiday aboard this summer for me. But! I am going away to do some voluntary work for a substantial amount of time reeeeeaaaaalll soon- so watch this space!

Just the other week I met up for dinner at Shake Shack and cocktails at Chiquitos in Central, with a cool awesome friend of mine who is here from America. We had drama classes together at university, whilst I was studying in California. And let me tell you- she is a character! So American it's crazy! Haha. I love hearing her stories about her 'crazy' sorority, while in turn I tell 'harmless' stories of the co-ed fraternity I joined.

Faux leather Dress (worn as a skirt)- Republic
Lipstick- Keko
Heels- Office
I decided to wear a simple, playful outfit. A little dressy dressy. Just a little. The shoes- I love! Could have come with a thicker heel though, but it's all good because they are easy to walk in. I love the sexy simplicity of them. The T-shirt reminds me of some Kanye West/ Jay-Z album artwork or something. I decided to throw it on top of the dress, as a LBD can get a bit boring sometimes, especially, if the occasion is a very casual one.

With the beautiful Savannah.
Strawberry daiquiri? Don't mind if I do!

Until next time lovlies xx

Mini Kimono

Sorry for the lack of updates. I am wearing clothes, trust me, it's just a lack of another being being with me. Anyways, currently I am in Northampton! Oh lovely Northampton. I am here for a training orientation weekend with the amazing charity Tearfund. I will be going to Rwanda soon to do my part in the fight against poverty! Stay tuned!! The weekend is consisting of talks and practical sessions, so I thought best to keep the outfit simple. These cool leggings are from F21, you may remember them from a previous post. They are so comfy and unique- love 'em!!

The kimono and boots added some spice to the all black everything. The kimono (well small cardigan) is so lightweight and great for this weather. Alternatively, I would wear it with a formal outfit, and heels of course!

Smile. It doesn't hurt.

Primrose Hill

As a continuation from my last post, part of the day was spent in Primrose Hill. Have you been there? It's pretty cool. Go to the top and you will get an epic view of London and all its beauty! We decided to have a picnic and take a break from trailing Camden.
Outfit wise, I opted for something very light and breezy. We are having such lovely weather, I have to abuse it while it lasts!! The beanie was a semi-mistake to take out, as it was so hot, majority of the time I was just carrying it! Nonetheless, it brought a pop of colour to the outfit- and you know me! I love my colour!

Pairing the faux-leather gilet with the dress gave the outfit some edge, making it not so innocent and sweet!! Today was the first time I wore this lovely dress from ASOS, after having it for sooooo long. It's such a summer stunner, with its standout crochet detail!! Thinking beach bar! The shoes are from Office. They are really good and great if you love getting height from you footwear at any opportunity like me! They replicate the jelly sandals, which have made a major comeback! Do you remember owning a pair? I do!!

A date with the books...

I'm still here!! Haha. I know, I know it's been a while. It's just that time of the year and exams take over everything! I actually just had my first exam yesterday! Family law- so happy to have one out the way- 3 more to go!!

These pictures were taken while having a break from revision in my new home- the library. I went for comfort of course. And black. Simple. Oh, with a bit of white too, to break it up I guess. Oh and I wear glasses. I say I rock the geek chic look. Don't know what I'll do without them, very dependent on them! I got this sexy number when I was in the States from a site recommended by a friend that do awesome deals- I'm talking first pair free kind of deals! Unnoticeable perhaps are the variations of textures I'm wearing. Usually, I would prefer to do that with color and prints, but hey, I just had a date with my books that day so I just threw on what was in my eyesight and prayed it worked!
Anyways, hope revision is still going strong peeps. I know so many people who are actually done for the year already! Lucky buggers! Good luck!
Until next time!

Haha! Some pictures I have turned into posts, but most not. May do another one during this exam period.
Exams are fast approaching- good luck all.

Car booty!!

I cleared out the place haha.

Gangnam style! Haha.

Dungarees- Primark
 Crop Top- Vintage

Jellys- River Island
 Bag- ASOS
Last Sunday after church, I met up with Issie, from Issie's-Vision, and went to a car boot sale in Kingston at Tiffin Boy's School. Though we only caught the end of it, I think that was a blessing in disguise- I didn’t want to spend too much! And I didn’t! Woo hoo! In under an hour I copped some really good deals (that I’m sure you’ll see here soon). In total I spent £7.50 and left with 7 things. Car boot sales are a must if you want the incredible deals.  I have to say it, I felt a little nostalgic, had not been to one (or done one) since I was a kid-the atmosphere was great!
It was a sunny day in Kingston, so I opted for my loose dungarees. I have not worn this bad boy in ages. It so nice to discover clothes that you’ve had for a while and wear them feeling all brand new. The crop top- I LOVE-got It at a vintage fair around 2 years back. Sun was out so wanted to show some skin haha. The jellys are from RI, another piece I’ve had for a good while. Guess my outfit was all about wearing the old, as if they were new! Haha. Fits in well with the car boot sale.

I Heart London, Part III: Millennium Bridge ...

Further down the Southbank, towards the Globe Theatre (go and catch a show there if you are a lover of Shakespeare) is the Millennium Bridge. Nicknamed the wobbly bridge due to it swaying on its opening day in 2000, the bridge brings out the modern landscape of the city, whilst being next to historic landscapes such as St Paul's Cathedral. Also next to the bridge is the Tate Modern. I have been there many times and enjoyed myself. Go there and check out the many galleries of art from modern and contemporary artists, most are free.

As you can tell, it's pretty windy up there. Regardless, it was fun taking pictures on the bridge with people walking past going about their business. This sweater I got from a boutique in San Francisco, sorry I can't remember the name, but it was in Haight-Ashbury, a dope area for independent stores and unique exterior houses. Check it out if you're in SF! It's warm and I brought it solely for the panels of fur on it. I haven't seen anything like it and it was love at first sight haha. I paired it with my Primark disco pants- a bargain at £7!! Happy days! You may remember, I wore them on my birthday here. These heels I also brought in the States- from Urban Outfitters, for *drumroll* $20!! You should have seen me when I picked them up and saw the discounted price- once again, another time where I didn't think twice! I love the wood detail of the base and heels, gives them edge.

Stay tuned for the final part of this series of I Heart London- it's going to be EPIC! :D
