Jumpsuit and heels.

This jumpsuit is super comfy and so easy to wear.  I have worn it numerous times but it has to be said, it looks best when it's paired with heels. It just elevates you and turn this sports style into something more sophisticated I reckon. The jumpsuit is not a colour I would normally wear, but none the less, it's great when you don't want to make a loud statement (then again, I can style it and make the outfit 'loud' haha). I've had these heels from ASOS for like forever and a day now, and though they are high, they are really comfortable to walk in. It the buckle detailing that got me. You may be able to tell from the pictures but the weather was just not on my side- it was rainy, dark and windy- not fun. Still got to pose through it eh!
Oh, and how dope is this backdrop! Love the colours!

Coca-Cola.

I am in LOVE with this skirt that I designed and got made whilst out in Rwanda. I got soooo many clothes made, my blog may just become all about those awesome things! Haha. I got the inspiration for the skirt from the ASOS magazine that I took out there with me (It’s always a great read for inspiration). Hailee Steinfeld, the beautiful cover star, was wearing a similar open, double layer skirt (well, I don’t really know what to call this design) and I knew that it would be so cute in this Coca-Cola Africa print (yup! This skirt is a genuine Rwandan print!). I was so happy with the results; summer needs to come so I can rock it like this-wearing tights won’t do it justice! I don’t know if you can tell, but I’m pretty freezing in these pictures- all in the name of fashion ey!

I did not want to steal the light away from the skirt so the only choice was to pair it with black. I love these latest heels I got from Primark. They are actually really comfortable (though it is advisable that when you are purchasing open toe shoes, you should get a size smaller) and upgrade the outfit. Wearing red lippy helps the colours of the skirt pop, especially as it is featured in the skirt. Once again, I added my cheap and cheerful car boot find clutch-man, £1.50 can go a long way! Haha!

Take back the night!

I do not want this to become a habit- but, again, sorry for the serious lack of updates. I guess you can say I have been chilling a lot this summer. Plus, it's really hard to blog (and very annoying) when you have no one to take the pictures for you. No holiday aboard this summer for me. But! I am going away to do some voluntary work for a substantial amount of time reeeeeaaaaalll soon- so watch this space!

Just the other week I met up for dinner at Shake Shack and cocktails at Chiquitos in Central, with a cool awesome friend of mine who is here from America. We had drama classes together at university, whilst I was studying in California. And let me tell you- she is a character! So American it's crazy! Haha. I love hearing her stories about her 'crazy' sorority, while in turn I tell 'harmless' stories of the co-ed fraternity I joined.

T-shirt- Primark
Necklace- Primark
Faux leather Dress (worn as a skirt)- Republic
Lipstick- Keko
Heels- Office
I decided to wear a simple, playful outfit. A little dressy dressy. Just a little. The shoes- I love! Could have come with a thicker heel though, but it's all good because they are easy to walk in. I love the sexy simplicity of them. The T-shirt reminds me of some Kanye West/ Jay-Z album artwork or something. I decided to throw it on top of the dress, as a LBD can get a bit boring sometimes, especially, if the occasion is a very casual one.

With the beautiful Savannah.
Strawberry daiquiri? Don't mind if I do!

Until next time lovlies xx

The third day of our trip to The Netherlands was spent at the Special Court for Sierra Leone (SCLC), where Charles Taylor was recently convicted. We received a talk about its history, achievements and its future plans, which is to down soon. If you are interested, check out the work of the SCLC and what the communities of effected by the actions of those on trail, think about what it has achieved. After the session, we went for lunch and a wonder around Den Haag, until it was time to get the train back to Amsterdam!
Outfit-wise, I went for all black everything. It was a lovely, hot day, so may not have been the best choice but it was all good. The picture above was taken at a train station- one we wasn't meant to be at! We got lost and very much delayed!!

Back in Amsterdam, and as it was our last night there we all went to dinner together. It was a lovely night, full of laughter and such. After, we headed into Central Amsterdam to experience its nightlife for one more time...
Patiently waiting for food! Wine was flowing though!
Can you see me leaning on the 'A'? :D
The night's attire.
Whole outfit- Primark

Excuse the fact outfit pictures were taken in
front of a 'condomerie' shop haha- it was a quick one tonight!

Final day in The Netherlands next!! Have a great day peeps!! :D

A date with the books...

I'm still here!! Haha. I know, I know it's been a while. It's just that time of the year and exams take over everything! I actually just had my first exam yesterday! Family law- so happy to have one out the way- 3 more to go!!

These pictures were taken while having a break from revision in my new home- the library. I went for comfort of course. And black. Simple. Oh, with a bit of white too, to break it up I guess. Oh and I wear glasses. I say I rock the geek chic look. Don't know what I'll do without them, very dependent on them! I got this sexy number when I was in the States from a site recommended by a friend that do awesome deals- I'm talking first pair free kind of deals! Unnoticeable perhaps are the variations of textures I'm wearing. Usually, I would prefer to do that with color and prints, but hey, I just had a date with my books that day so I just threw on what was in my eyesight and prayed it worked!
Anyways, hope revision is still going strong peeps. I know so many people who are actually done for the year already! Lucky buggers! Good luck!
Until next time!

I Heart London, Part IV: The View from The Shard ...

Hella windy! Haha

Simply stunning if you ask me.
Chilling sky high at the end of the day!
Ended the day at TGI Fridays with COCKTAILS and dinner.
My strawberry daiquiri was joined by a mai tai. Ultimate style.

My friend and I ended our busy day of travelling through the city of London with a trip to the The Shard. This new epic building, which opened earlier this year, is the tallest building in Western Europe. Costing £25 to check out the view of London, from two viewing platforms- it's not cheap, but it sure is amazing. We timed our trip right, with booking our tickets for 7pm to catch the sunset. It went quick- it must have been tired haha. But nonetheless, we managed to get some awesome pictures, though at this point, as you can imagine, the wall was chock-a-block. It was nice to see the sun set (doesn't beat seeing in it Jamaica at Rick's Cafe though-now that's a sunset to see!) and then to witness it getting darker and London becoming a city of lights- with the switching on of building lights and lampposts. It was cool to spot buildings in all their glory and the interactive, free, telescopes made the time up there educational, which is a plus! Definitely check it out if you're a tourist, or you like touristy things and you're from Ldn. Especially if you're from London and haven't been on the Eye, which I'm guilty of!

I decided to dress somewhat elegantly simple for The Shard. Wearing my black maxi skirt from Forever 21, USA and my black sheer leotard with velvet patterns on it from Primark. I went with my neon earrings, which have been buried in my jewelry case for far too long, to give the outfit a pop of color. These pictures are okkkkkaaaayyy, but not great, sorry. It was hella windy on the 72nd floor and honestly, the focus was more on getting cool shots of The View from The Shard.

Have you been to The Shard? It's awesome right?

This marks the end of the 'I Heart London' series. I may do more along these lines, what do you think of the idea? Hope you enjoyed the outfit pictures and learning more about London.
Comment! I'll love to read what you think! :D

Much love!

And a big thanks goes to Troy for spending the day with me and taking some awesome pictures! Check out his blog
