Monotone.

I recently attended a BBQ for a university friend-it was like a mini reunion! It was so great to see everyone again after quite a while! It was a good old catch up! Anyways, outfit wise, I just went for the go-to colours when you feel like you got nothing to wear yet there is a fully stocked wardrobe staring right back at ya! (Don't get me wrong- I'm totally appreciative). Can I just say for myself- how awesomely cute are my flatform jellies. I've been asked numerous times and no, they ain't Juju jellies, I saw them in a shoe store in Westfield and knew I had to have them. I have not seen flatform jellies on anyone before so that was another incentive. Plus, I love anything that gives me height! Win win! Haha!
Black and white with a slash of red never fails...I mean, it's impossible to fail haha!!
Crop top- Primark
Pants- Primark
Fedora- H&M
Jellies- Unze (shop in Westfield)

Car Boot Sale- Vintage Style.

Last weekend, London held it's second vintage car boot sale event, along the lovely Southbank. It was a glorious day (yay!) and I headed down there after work, with a mate, with the aim of copping some great vintage finds. It was cool vibes all afternoon, with the sun shining, REKORDERLIG, a live DJ set (that had me dancing whilst shopping) and people looking as vintage as one can get. I took the opportunity to wear vintage clothing myself- I mean, if you are going to wear your vintage clothes, best do it at a vintage event, right?!
It didn't feel like a car boot sale per se, as the clothes were not being sold out of cars, regardless, there were flashy, classic cars galore and every vintage thing you can think of! I loved the classic Pepsi-Cola signs- soooo cool!
I ended up purchasing some really cool, cheap jewelry, a tropical print blazer and a mint lace maxi dress. The dress had me at hello! I don't own anything this colour- and once I brought this, I've been seeing mint everywhere. Haha! (I guess that's because pastels are on trend too). Looking forward to rocking this in the summer sun. It looks SO classic on!
Twas a great day, which ended with free hot dogs! We even bumped into Justin Lee Collins!
Enjoy the abundance of pictures!
With my free hot dog from Engine Hot Dogs- thanks guy!
Justin Lee Collins! Cool dude with that awesome Bristolian accent! Haha!

 My purchases:
Tropical print blazer.
Mint maxi lace dress.

What I wore:
Sequin cardigan- vintage shop in Sacramento, California.
Skirt- vintage fair in Bethnal Green, East London.
Belt- Primark.
Bag- Ted Baker.
Shoes-Office.

Check out this awesome video (featuring the vintage cars a lot more than my pictures haha) my mate Troy of TroyMeetsWorld made of our day.
Enjoy!

Shopcade x Emmanuel Andre photo shoot.

Last week I attended an exclusive invitation only photo shoot for the awesome Shopcade and world renowned photographer Emmanuel Andre. It's aim was to showcase and picture London's fashionable people. As fashion and style is what YOU make it, it was so great to see that no two people were dressed even remotely similar. Everyone was unique and wonderfully expressive. The way to be! Haha!
I had lots of fun, as I got the chance to catch up with people that I've previously met at other events and to meet new bloggers. The actual time on set was AWESOME! Emmanuel was so down to earth and I got comfortable very quickly in front of the lens. It was over too quickly! Haha! The photos are to be used on the Shopcade website/app and for a BOOK documenting people of London and their style. Watch this space...I'm excited!!
With Mariette Immaculate, check out her tumblr.
Look how serious my face is, haha, and we ain't even started yet!

Selfie with the photographer- Emmanuel Andre!

I wore GAP jeans with my ASOS heels and a black bralet top. The main focus of my outfit was the denim jacket. I just have to say thanks mum- the best birthday present I received this year (second is the Prada Candy perfume from dad haha). It's a Replay denim jacket with 3D embellishments on the sleeves. It's so unique and get so many compliments every time I wear it- I love it!

Birthday girl.

I had such an awesome birthday- and to think, I wasn’t going to do anything!! (Shanté? Do nothing? Never! Haha- I hear some of you cry). It’s just one day in the year and you got to thank God for sparing your life to see another year and it’s a great chance to reflect on all the achievements you have made thus far- so I say everyone should do something-even it’s just simply a meal.
Anyways, as I said, it was an awesome day. A blessed, chilled and very relaxing day in fact. I'll take you through it! I started with getting my toes did- a midnight purple :D Then I spent the afternoon having afternoon tea at the Hilton with the mother dear. It was a real cosy. The service was excellent and the food and tea galore made us so comfortable. So comfortable that we had to hop, skip and jump over to the Aldephi theatre to get to The Bodyguard on time. We made it haha! And by the way- IT WAS AMAZING! SERIOUSLY AMAZING! Beverly and the team gave the story life AND justice. 10/10 I say! I was laughing and crying, sometimes within the same scene! The songs got everyone going too! Who doesn't love those songs!
Finally the day ended (well just before this, my mother and I got free Rosé in Garfunkel because we went to use the toilet and I had my birthday badge lighting up! Cheers Andrew!) with us heading to the Roadhouse in Covent Garden. There I met with my good mates and my sister. It was a fun night! With a live band and the DJ playing a cool set alternating, the night was a great one to end all of the celebrations. Here's the pictures! Enjoy!

ALSO, my blog turned ONE last week!! Woo hoo! The first year has been great, and I'm looking forward to what the next has in store! Enjoy this journey with me... :D
