The Netherlands-Day One.

I AM BACK! Yes! I am back! Haha. Apologies for ignoring you lovely people and shame on me for not blogging more. I can't believe I didn't blog for the whole month of June! (tut tut Shannie!)... I am forgiven?

Well, since my last post, life has been pretty chill- thank God. I have finished my exams (can we say academic weight lost! :D), moved out of my university accommodation and got back to work. I now have time to chill- a mate of mine said that I should 'appreciate the chill', which I guess I am doing before I know things get hectic again. It is lovely to be surrounded by my family again, no matter how much my little sis annoys me. Oh, and I went to The Netherlands, that's what this post is really about- so lets get to it! Haha.

I love flying! Could be on a plane forever!
Seven fellow (and now former) undergraduate law students and myself, along with two of our law lectures spent a few days in The Netherlands to attend court proceedings and have audiences with some very senior, highly respectable people in the international criminal law field. That was the educational part of the trip, the other part was to experience Dutch life and its attractions in the short time we had there. Three of us decided to fly there (JUST slightly more than the return coach ticket!) and we arrived a day early. The first day was nice and very chilled. We met other travelers and had fun with them in the city of Amsterdam!

Arrival outfit!
Disco pants, Crop Top, Jacket, Bag- all Primark
Flatforms-New Look
Necklace-ASOS
I went for a comfy look to travel in (obviously-why wouldn't you?!) and also a look I can continue to wear when I reached my destination- though I changed my top once we reached our hostel, as it was seriously windy.

his artwork was seriously dope!

really admired the intricate detail of this ring- shame about the extortionate price!

Dinnertime!! Majority of workers were Assuie!

Stripe shirt- boutique in NYC.
Go big or go home!
S IS FOR SHANTÉ! Night fun on the 'I AMSTERDAM' sign.

I wanted some Magnum! Shame it was closed, I would have brought the shop!
Dress- Primark.
That's day one done! It was fun! Nice introduction into Amsterdam life. We had an early start though- we had to catch the train to The Hague (Den Haag) to meet the others and go to the ICTY! That's for the next post! Stay tuned!

A date with the books...

I'm still here!! Haha. I know, I know it's been a while. It's just that time of the year and exams take over everything! I actually just had my first exam yesterday! Family law- so happy to have one out the way- 3 more to go!!

These pictures were taken while having a break from revision in my new home- the library. I went for comfort of course. And black. Simple. Oh, with a bit of white too, to break it up I guess. Oh and I wear glasses. I say I rock the geek chic look. Don't know what I'll do without them, very dependent on them! I got this sexy number when I was in the States from a site recommended by a friend that do awesome deals- I'm talking first pair free kind of deals! Unnoticeable perhaps are the variations of textures I'm wearing. Usually, I would prefer to do that with color and prints, but hey, I just had a date with my books that day so I just threw on what was in my eyesight and prayed it worked!
Anyways, hope revision is still going strong peeps. I know so many people who are actually done for the year already! Lucky buggers! Good luck!
Until next time!

Double Denim Mayhem x Richmond Park

Peace.
Saturday gone I spent the afternoon at the park, with some awesome people from the church I attend in Kingston. The sun was out so that was a good enough reason to spend the afternoon in Richmond Park, chilling, eating, exercising and singing. I opted for a double denim look- just casual- nothing fancy. Would prefer to wear this outfit with heels- but that's for another day! Instead I wore my TOMS, which I have not worn in donkey years! You should get a pair- seriously comfy and when you buy a pair, a pair of shoes goes to a child without shoes! Win win!
Regarding the bag- I copped it in a Chinese subway mall. I love the color arrangements. And it only cost me 8 quid! Happy days! Seriously, you get some great deals in China- was hard not to shop everywhere you went.
As you can tell from the pictures- we were playing around a lot with shots- very experimental. Shout out to Bianca for the shoot and additional pictures!
Until next time. Hope revision is going accordingly! Two weeks till my first exam!! Ahhhhhh!!

Abigail. She is just the cutest (and tech-savvy) 2 year old I know!

From Ghana, With Love.

Top- New Look
Pants- Ghana
Shoes- ASOS
Just a quick one- again. I went to Portobello Road, West Road, with my friends the other day. We met for desert and jams (music haha), have not seen each other since my birthday do. Anyways, we went for the evening so no lovely market stall shots to show you- next time. I opted for these pants my mother got me whilst she was in Ghana. I've had them for about 3 years and I've only worn them twice- shame on me. So comfortable and I love them! Decided to show some skin too. I'm embracing my body more- and I suggest you do the same- work on what you want to improve, if there's anything- as that's the only option- WORK!

Hope revision is going well. Until next time!

Camo & Pleats & Neon.

Sun was in the eyes. haha.

Dress- Urban Outfitters
Belt- Vintage store in Sacramento
Jellys- River Island
Camo jacket- from my Army Cadet days (the real thing!)
Shades- Ray-Ban
Just a quick post. These were taken on Thursday. The sun was out and it made me smile. I would have  preferred to have rocked the jellys without tights, but it wasn't THAT hot and my feet were not 'sandals ready' haha.
I just went through my final week (!!!) at university- of final year! It hasn't really sunk it yet, and that's due to the fact that I still have the actual exams to go. I will be done soon though- those exams are fast approaching.
Good luck to everyone out there taking exams!!
