Shine Bright like a Diamond.

Shining bright like a diamond in the last two pictures haha!

I wasn't going to take pictures today as it was becoming such a hectic day (when is it never!), but luckily I had a spare five minutes just before heading into Mandarin class. The sun was already setting, hence why the pictures look the way they do, all over the place- I am still experimenting haha!

You may have noticed something different! I got my hair did! I love the feeling of freshly done hair, its fun and I enjoy conjuring different ways to style it. But, this time, my hairstyle of choice was pretty simple-sleek and simple. I wanted a ‘long bob’ because I was bored of long hair, and didn’t want something too short. So after searching the web for ideas and seeing this beautiful picture of supermodel Heidi Klum, my choice what made!
Do you guys like it? How would you style it?

Like I said, you’ll be seeing me in my sneaker wedges way too often- they are just sooooo comfortable! This time, I paired them with leggings. I like this pair most out of all the pairs I have as they have this extra ribbed design just above the knee caps, making them unique. The sweater is one of my favorite pieces in my wardrobe! (I should say favorite is an understatement!!) I just simply love it! I get stares from people whenever I wear it and at least one complement! It’s a party on my body haha! I copped it in a vintage store in California, whilst on my year studying aboard. And for the AMAZING price of…*drumroll*… $10!

Word of advice- when you see a bargain as such, NEVER let it pass you! Even if it’s your last dime haha. You won’t regret it!

Here is the information on what I got, where:
  • sweater-vintage store in California
  • leggings-Calvin Klein
  • sneaker wedges-mr. shoes.co.uk
  • bag-Oasis
  • watch-Micheal Kors
Hope you guys like the outfit, looking forward to your comments!

University-friendly.

Right now, life consists of attending university- and not much else. Therefore, I have to make sure my outfits are comfortable and ‘university-friendly’ to last the day ahead. Today I went for prints- I love them! I love clashing prints, it’s the way forward! Haha.

Found sometime after lecture to take these pictures. The sun was out (yay! Please stay) so shooting was fun. As always, I’m rocking my Isabel Marant inspired sneaker wedges. These shoes are my babies, don’t be surprised if they are in all my photos haha-so comfortable and they give me height! Which is the ultimate plus! This sweater is uber comfortable too, can’t go wrong with it. And, I’m not really a girly-girl when it comes to dress, but I do love me flower print garments! Again, I didn't think twice when I saw this pencil skirt! My bag was too small for my laptop, but I don’t mind rocking it in my hand, the case is awesome!

Here is the information on what I got, where:
  • sweater-vintage
  • pencil skirt (worn as mini)-Primark
  • beret-my Aunt's (I may give it back haha)
  • necklace-Primark
  • ring-Claire's
  • laptop cover- Primark (would you believe!)
  • sneaker wedges- Mr Shoes

Hope you guys like the outfit, I reckon, it’s a great transition into spring one!

Beauty- it's up to you.

"It is up for each person to decide for themselves how beautiful they are"-me.

On Sundays I will be posting messages that will hopefully inspire you to have a great week ahead. This week I’ll start with something I thought of!

This message I believe speaks volumes as beauty is subjective, it is important that you portray and give off that ‘level’ of beauty you want to show to the world, as others will get the impression that you take pride and love one’s self. And if you want others to love you, you have to love yourself first, right?

I would love to hear your thoughts.

Have a blessed week!

Reading between the Lines.

Is anyone else’s life currently consumed by such material?? I am at the last hurdle of my undergraduate degree and results count more now than ever! It’s hard but I know I can do it! I guess the trick is to keep yourself motivated and determined to do the very best you can. Hard work pays off in many ways…you’ll see.

Take my January, I spent 19 days of it in the library (my second home) doing coursework on various law modules. And when I wasn’t at the library, I was working at home. However, I am so happy, as that sacrifice turned into three ‘firsts’ grades for each piece of coursework! Yay!

However, now that I have started this blog, and with other things in my life, honestly, I worry about how this final hurdle is going to go down. Guess I have just got to remember, I have done it once, I can do it again. And, perseverance is key!

Hope this inspires you to work hard and do the best with whatever endeavors you are up to!

Let me know what you think, and how you stay motivated!

Phone Blanket.

We all need protection, and that includes our phones! I love my phone's protection (case)! So colorful and crazy-yet, neatly organised in its sections, just like me haha! It defines me well. I saw it and didn't think twice about purchasing it. I bought it of ebay, which (don’t laugh) was my first (and so far only) time I had bought goods from ebay. I don’t know what took me so long! It’s a gem full of awesome deals!! I soon fear I may get addicted…

If you have fallen in love with it like I have, you can get it here. Let me know what you think.

Flashback Friday!

I have decided that I am going to a ‘Flashback Friday’ segment! Just because it’s fun and takes me back. It will also allow you all to see past adventures of my life, and hopefully inspire you to have an adventure of your own!

This was taken nearly 2 years ago, mid March 2011. I went Jamaica (after an outstanding 14 years would you believe!) for my 20th birthday. Out there, my older sisters and I visited family and attended 'BritJam' events. Boy! What a lot of fun was had! (too much some may say!). I love Jamaica, so beautiful and tranquil. The food, the music, relaxed people- oh take me there now!
This picture was taken in Hanover. We spent the day riding horses, first on land, then in the waters. As you can see from my expression I was loving every moment! (I eventually got lower in the water, thighs covered and all haha).
If you go JA, you must  do this activity, you'll love it!
