I Heart London, Part II: Southbank Graffiti ...

Located on the Southbank area of the riverside, underneath the National Theatre, this dope place is usually filled with kids on BMXs and skateboards. Anyone is welcome here to do graffiti as its a 'legal wall'... so go on, express yourself! It's a great backdrop to take pictures and once you're done, you can go for a walk along the bank- which we did! We went on the day of the 'real street food festival', so the place was vibrant and full of life with unique styled stalls selling foods from all over the world. To be fair, any day you come to Southbank, there's usually something to do/see. The walk along it is cool- from Embankment to the Globe there's a million things for the eyes to digest. Oh, and check out the books that are always on sale, you'll get a deal there!

I went for all black everrrryyythaaannng with my outfit! Best to bring out the colors in the art me thinks. Pleather Heaven right here haha.  I love this dress- second time wearing it since since purchase aggggeeeesss ago. (Note to self: must wear more often). Its from Republic, which I believe is no longer around. It's comfortable and awesome because of the sheer at the top. I paired it with my jacket from Primark, and with my sneaker wedges- thank God for this invention- I love them!! These tights are a party on my legs- I like the shimmer they give- also from Primark. Finally, the cap its from a company 'The Hundreds'. I mentioned them in my post here. They are such a dope brand- check them out. I saw this hat and loved how simple it was with it being black and the writing in white. I usually wear it when I'm doing an 'all black everything' outfit, but it works as well with something different, due to its simplicity. Oh! Nearly forgot to tell you about this awesome collar! I copped it in a Chinese subway for 40 yuan...roughly £4!! Bargaining was so fun in China! And £4 was a great price for it. Especially if you compare it to how much it would have cost in the UK!

I Heart London, Part I: Trafalgar Square...

My mate (who is also an awesome photographer) and I decided to be tourist in the city we grew up in- London! London is full of life and energy, any time of day, and is a great backdrop for amazing pictures with its historic buildings, modern bridges and all. 

As I am a fashion blogger, to make a day of it- we turned it into a photography day! (Yay! I love them! Haha). Therefore, I have done this 'series' in four parts- showcasing four different areas of London. So tune in for all!! :D

As this blog is seen around the world, I hope I have achieved in my aim to show you awesome people, near and far, cool things about the city... and my outfits! 

Now, Trafalgar Square is a go-to place for all- locals and tourists- to catch a street show or climb a lion (and to be harassed by pigeons). It is full of history and amazing statues of great people, including Nelson's Column. Located right off Haymarket, its a nice spot to simply chill, as there are fountains to spray you cool, (of course you'll only want that to happen if its a hot day). The National Gallery can also be seen in my pictures. Check it out if you can. One of the many galleries in London presenting works of art dating back to the mid- 13th century. It's free and you'll love it!

Regarding my outfit, I went into uber-comfy mode with it. What, even the shoes?! Yes, even the shoes are uber-comfy. I wish I can wear heels all day. These types of heels are really comfy as they have a wide platform- I was trotting along that Square without a care haha. They are from Forever 21- online. I am yet to buy in store in the UK, I miss the American branch too much. The jeans I've had for a while, and as you can see, are super baggy. The way I like. You may remember the shirt from my birthday, I copped this beauty from Primark- I can't wait to wear it alone on a beach- with bikini bottoms of course! 

It was a nice day, little on the chilling side, but the sun kept rearing its little head now and then so that made me happy.

Lunch at Byron.

I recently met up with a good friend of mine and we decided to have lunch at 'Byron'. He decided the restaurant as he had been there before, and I'm always up for going new places, so it was a done deal. Famed for their proper hamburgers, this restaurant is a great place to have a quick lunch, chill and talk with friends. It very much reminded me of the American diners I went to in the States. Small and compact (at first sight-there is more round the corner), the decor was awesome and the atmosphere was nice. Great service, great food-happy days. It was the first burger I had this year (!!) and I couldn't have chosen a better way to end that streak haha. Random but, I really liked the simplicity of the uniform the staff wore- you can even purchase a t-shirt on their website. Just a heads up, it is all about hamburgers at 'Byron', so if you are not a fan, it's not the place for you. Well, actually, you can always get a salad.

Wild like the Weather!

Remember- hug a tree, they are your friends :D

As the title suggest, the weather was wild! Surprise, surprise! Well. Not really. This is England, and in terms of weather-anything goes. Just really sucks that we are nearly in April and this is what we are getting!! Rain, sleet and snow, and all that jazz that comes with them. I just want to be a on a beach already!! Who’s with me??

Today was the last day of the semester- oh my! The end in drawing so so so nigh! It is the time of year for me to buckle down and focus solely on revision and making sure I know my stuff for my upcoming exams. So apologies in advance for the lack of posts in the upcoming months. I hope you understand that that will be my main priority. I will however post for respite- my blog will now become my stress ball! Haha.

I kept it pretty simple with dress today. Just saw in on my rail and bunged it on! I haven’t worn this dress (from RI) in a while, its thin, so I wore a mini under it. I paired it with my khaki jacket and my go-to wine colored cardigan. I love this garment, I’ve had it for years. Brought in the Topshop sale for £20, from £40 (!!!!). It goes well with lots of different outfits. Finally, I went for my cheap and cheerful flats from Primark. Now, I’m not one to be getting shoes from Primark, especially because they inevitably have a short life expectancy, but with flats, its fine I reckon, I’m just not expecting to have them long!

As you can see, I went a little crazy this photo shoot, getting in the midst of the greens and getting my model on! It was fun!

Faith.

“…Faith is the substantiation of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.”-Hebrews 11:1.

This wonderful scripture can mean many things to believers and non-believers. Faith is an essential weapon to possess, as it gives us belief and determination that you know that God will do what you what He said He will do for you, in His own time. It is most tested between the times of when you are in the period of not having what you asked for, to when you get it. Never lose sight and keep your faith strong.

This powerful scripture can also relate to studies-which are of the utmost importance for me right now (!). I have to have faith and believe that with hard work, focus and conviction I will get the grades I deserve (the things not seen). 

I hope you are able to relate to this message, and never lose sight of your faith, no matter what you go through, as during the ‘tough times’ is when you will need it most!!
