Here are the answers to Collennx’s questions for me.

11 random facts.

1.   I love Dexter- the serial killer! I have seen every episode thus far and cannot wait for the 8^th series, though I am sad it will be the last.

2.   I have 3 sisters and we all begin with ‘S’.

3.   I have not eaten baked beans since I was about 7 years old (around that age roughly, just remember I was young), they just don’t look right to me.

4.   Same with bacon! I cannot for the life of me understand why people love bacon so much. Cannot remember the last time I ate bacon!

5.   I love travelling.

6.   I am learning Mandarin.

7.   Though I am confident, I can get shy (traits of a pieces maybe?).

8.   I love the ANTM franchise, and think BNTM doesn’t even come close.

9.   I loved the show ‘America’s Best Dance Crew’ and was sad when I heard that it was cancelled after season 7- but oh so happy when I got to meet the winners- the Elektrolytes!!

           Because I wanted a place where I can sporadically splash things that are happening in my life for the world to see.

2.  WHAT IS THE REASON BEHIND YOUR BLOG'S NAME?

          Wanted to keep it simple and remember able, like ‘Oprah’ and ‘Trisha’. Plus, it’s my name, so why not.

3. WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST FEAR?

          God.

          To succeed.

Liebster Blog Award!

My blog is just over a week old and I am so grateful for all the attention it has been receiving. So much so that I have been nominated twice (!) for the Liebster Award. This is such a great idea to get new blogs known! I have been nominated by Issie and Collennx- thanks ladies, love your blogs.

Both have different tasks set out for me to do, so I’ll begin with the nomination I received first from Issie.

1.  Why did you start Blogging?

I started because I thought it would be a great idea to have a centralized place where I can put what I get up to in life, to look back on outfits and events that make life worth living. I have always wanted to start one after reading various blogs religiously for years. I am glad I finally took the plunge and look forward to seeing where my new baby takes me.

2. What has been your experience with blogging so far?

I has been great, can’t complain. The blogging world is really nice. 

When I read comments, they make me smile and glad that I shared this piece of my life with you all instead of holding it to myself in an album on my laptop, which was the case before.

3. How old are you and what do you see yourself doing in the future?

I have just turned 22. I know my destiny is already laid out for me and I am looking forward to discovering what God has in store for me. I study law and love it, and I also love acting. Oh, and many other things; fashion, the arts; child care-the list can go on! For the future, we will see won’t we…

Everyone wants to succeed. No matter what your goal is, you have to make sure you have the rights skills and mindset to get you there. We all face setback and rejection, whether it is from failed applications or people in your life telling you you can't make it-used them as motivation for you to continue to get to where you are destined to be. Have faith.

Flashback Friday!

This picture was taken in Davis, California, in November 2011. I went sky diving!! It was soooooooooo awesome! I was obviously a little scared, but being the opportunist that I am, I could not let this adventure past me! It is such an awesome experience. Seriously, you should try it if you get the chance!

I was screaming though I obviously could not be heard and just received a mouth of gushing air in return! Haha! The tranquil bit came when the parachute was pulled and my instructor and I were simply cruising in the sky! Floating around, admiring the view until we safely landed. I purchased the video that was made of my dive, and every time I laugh seeing that I wrote 'I'm flying w/out wings' on my hands and rocked red lips, and, I can't help but say ‘Did I really do that?!’.

The day after the fun.

After all the fun that occurred last night, it was back to school for me. I have to say, I was quite tired for most of the day, doing my best to listen in lectures (I ended up dozing off in Mandarin- just for like 5 minutes though!). Today I went for a simple put together outfit. The weather was crap, and by default I went for my khaki parka coat! I love this bad boy, it has been in my life for a good 5 years now would you believe?! I feel like I wear it all the time! It is so warm and comfy, and in this weather, I can’t think of anything else I would want to rock.

Do you recognize the t-shirt brand? It’s a clothing company called ‘The Hundreds’. I discovered them whilst I was studying in the States and copped this piece when I was shopping in San Francisco. ‘The Hundreds’ are pretty dope. I like the versatility of the brand and it how can be easily rocked by guys and girls. I also got this bag whilst in the States. I went shopping in Miami and saw this bag in 'Coach'. I really like the brand ‘Coach’ – well, the mature, elegant side of me does haha. I saw this and thought it would be great for when I return for final year to carry all my books- and it is! It’s durable and a great size! I went for flats to give my feet a little rest from wearing heels yesterday-wrong choice in this sucky weather!

I had a lovely birthday yesterday! Very relaxed (well somewhat!). Turning 22 is not one of the big ‘milestones’ I say- next one for me is 25-nonetheless, I am thankful to God for allowing me to live to see my 22^nd birthday and for all the wonderful family and friends that were there to make my night! In my 21 years on this earth, I have been blessed to have done so many things around the world- from studying in California for a year, attending summer school in China and spending a month in the United Arab Emirates to perform for millions with my theatre company.  I am truly thankful to those that made things happen and look forward to my future adventures.

I celebrated my birthday with family and 10 awesome friends at ‘Kimchee’. A Korean restaurant located in Holborn, Central London. I can now say that I have fallen in love with the place-the food and the decor make it perfect. For a Wednesday night, the place was buzzing, but my guest and I were somewhat secluded from it all, which I loved- it felt we had a private suite haha. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough; I am looking forward to going back- you can get full on starters alone!

Like I said my day was somewhat relaxed as at the restaurant I was so hyper and excited. Pictures were just being taken left, right and center! No surprise haha. While editing through my pictures, I really wanted to limit the amount I put on my blog. I have, I guess, but obviously it’s still loads! Haha! Regarding my outfit, I don’t think I made time to take an ‘outfit shot’, sorry. I went for pastels and prints- which I love, separate and together. I received so many complements on my hair and outfit and I felt it was the right choice of wear for a 22^nd. Compared to my 20^th, where I wore a gown! Haha.

And it's not even my birthday...Yet!

Tomorrow is my birthday!! … But the celebrations started tonight. After rushing from Kingston after Mandarin to North London to meet my pops, he treated me to a pre-birthday dinner at this lovely Japanese restaurant in Islington. Called ‘Sen Nin’, the food tasted fresh and simply scrumptious- was so full after all that sushi starter haha!

As it was my pre-birthday dinner treat, I went all out! Pictured you can see we got California Roll, and the Sushi & Sashimi Platter.  For mains we got the Fuji Teppanyaki Meal, choosing tiger prawns and chicken. And of course, not forgetting the mouth watering shrimp miso soup. There were so many cocktails to choose from, the waitress recommended this Japanese Mango Mojito- and I'm so glad she did because it was amazing! I am looking forward to going back there again, possibly with more people as then we can fill up the grill table so the chef can prepare our food in front of us!

Doesn’t the food look sooooo delicious?! Mouth watering if you ask me!
